Hello Von! Last week I took my kids to the library - they're 3 and 4 and miracle upon miracles, they sat down and had a quiet time reading - so I popped stelathily over to the art section and the first thing I grabbed off teh shelf was your book. I have pored over every page and loved it - great job! BUT - the big WOW for me has been in finding this site! I have only just recently 'discovered' the idea of surface pattern and design (ok - I knew patterns and have loved Escher for years - but I had alight bulb moment when it occurred to me I could actually do it *duh*)!!! So I've bene scouring the net for some self help as I am unable to undergo any formal training - and so far, emailing designers has proved a dead end as no one has chosen to reply! So this site is like an answer to my prayers as I can now start to make some headway into getting out the designs from inside my head!!! I have CS3 Illustrator, PS and InDesign and am just now learning how to use them through some on-line tuts from Lynda.com. So... Thankyou for being so open and giving of your talent and skills - have an awesome week, and I'll definitely be back! Cheers, from Donna
