Documenting The Illustrative Design ProcessCreated by Von. R. Glitschka

When I was asked by the ‘Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’ to design a poster for their ‘Summer in the City’ concert series I sat back in my chair and played air guitar to celebrate. It was time to have a creative jam session.

I used a good mix of old school and digital illustration methods to produce this poster and this tutorial will show you everything from research, rough pencil sketches all the way to creating a home made texture to use on the final product.

(Tutorial Includes Notes in both ‘English’ and ‘Español’.)

  1. Amazing tutorial, as always. I have to say i´m a huge fan of your work. Is been a great influence for me. :)
A little suggestion: you should make the tutorials in a post, instead of just posting the link, so everyone can read it and see the notes and the images together right here in the page. In the end of the article you put the download link and keywords.
    Anyway, thats just a sugesstion.
    Thanks :D
